Cookie Policy

    1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how WavBin ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar storage technologies. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. We are based in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States. You can reach us using the contact button below.

    2. What these technologies are

    • Cookies — small text files a site stores in your browser and reads on later visits.
    • Local storage and session storage — browser storage used to keep settings and your signed-in session on your device.
    • IndexedDB and cache storage — used to cache app files and audio data so playback and navigation are fast.

We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.

    3. What we use, and why

    • Strictly necessary. Authentication tokens that keep you signed in, session refresh and timeout state, CSRF and abuse-prevention values, rate-limit and account-lockout counters, and share-link access state such as whether you have entered a link password. These cannot be turned off without breaking the Service.
    • Functional. Your theme choice, player state and volume, recently used categories and filters, board and Studio view preferences, onboarding and tooltip dismissals, and install prompt state. These make WavBin remember how you like to work.
    • Performance. Cached application assets and signed audio URLs, so pages load and tracks start quickly without re-downloading the same data.
    • Analytics. Limited, privacy-respecting counts of feature usage and errors, plus view and download counts on links you share, so you can see engagement. We do not build advertising profiles.

    4. What we do not use

WavBin does not use advertising cookies, third-party ad networks, cross-site tracking pixels, social media trackers, or data brokers. We do not sell information collected through cookies.

    5. Third-party cookies

    • Supabase / Lovable Cloud — sets authentication and session cookies required to sign you in.
    • Stripe — sets cookies during checkout and in the billing portal for payment processing and fraud prevention.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies as our service providers.

    6. How long they last

Session cookies are erased when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last from a few days to about a year depending on purpose; authentication tokens refresh regularly and expire after inactivity, and cached assets are replaced as the app updates.

    7. Your choices

    • Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and site data in their settings.
    • Clearing WavBin's site data will sign you out and reset your preferences.
    • Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and most features from working.
    • Browser notifications are opt-in and can be revoked in your browser's site permissions at any time. We do not use background web push.

We honor Global Privacy Control and similar opt-out signals where legally required; because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of.

    8. Changes to this policy

We will post updates here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app.
